Trash and Recycling
Garbage - Place in a SECURELY TIED standard kitchen size plastic bag and put it down the garbage chute on your floor or take it directly to the trash room if your garbage bag won’t fit easily into the chute. Alkaline batteries (AAA, AA, Cs, Ds and 9-volt and incandescent, LED, and halogen light bulbs; styrofoam, bubble wrap, and fast-food coffee cups which have a plastic line should be   thrown in the trash.
Hazardous Batteries – Place in the white tub marked “batteries” located next to recycling bin in the garage. Batteries considered hazardous include--NiCads (found in cell & cordless phones, digital & video cameras, power tools, and laptop computers); Lithium (found in digital cameras, cell & cordless phones, lap tops, power tools, calculators, and hearing aids); Silver Oxide (found in watch batteries, hearing aids, small tea lights), and Mercury (found in some hearing aids). Hearing aid batteries need to be returned to the package in which they were purchased so the contents can be determined.
Compact Fluorescent Light bulbs (CFLs) – Place carefully in the white tub marked “CFLs” located next to the recycling bin in the garage. Do not break these because they contain mercury which is the reason they must be recycled. Large fluorescent light bulbs from ceiling fixtures are the responsibility of owners and should be returned to big box stores that collect them, e.g. Home Depot and Lowe’s. All other light bulbs--incandescent, LED, and halogen bulbs--go in the trash.
The Do’s and Don’ts of Recycling, a guide to what can and cannot be recycled at River’s Edge can be found in the section about recycling and is posted above the recycling container in the garage.

Pets
All pets must be kept on leash when in the common areas or on association grounds.
Balconies may NOT be used as pet runs.
Pet waste and litter must be placed in a sealed bag and put directly into garbage dumpsters located in the garage.
